Coastal Family Connections was established by Jodie Wareing, an experienced child and family practitioner with extensive experience in child protection, safeguarding, assessment and reunification services across both the United Kingdom and Australia.

Drawing on practice experience across multiple systems, services are delivered using a child-centred, relationship-based approach that considers children's lived experiences, family relationships and wider support networks.

We believe that understanding a child's lived experience is fundamental to effective assessment and intervention. Our work is informed by direct engagement with children and families, home and community-based observation where appropriate, and consultation with the wider professional network supporting the child.

Assessments are evidence-informed and seek to understand the child within the context of their relationships, environment and daily experiences, ensuring recommendations are grounded in a holistic understanding of the child's world.
